This video is the result of experimenting with the expressions language within AfterEffects. I also wanted to see whether it was possible to create a 2.5d motion graphics version of the FITC Amsterdam 2013 titles animation created by OneSize. vimeo.com/59892998

  • Screen Flow
Screen Flow is an experimentation of where animation can exist in both virtual and physical environments. For the video I have used a low polygon style in the form of a river to “flow” between these spaces. To bridge the gap between the real and surreal, I have used methods such as camera tracking, stop motion and seamless transitions.

  • Assembly Line (work in progress)
Assembly Line is an experimental film based on the potential of future Artificial Intelligence in which robotically controlled units manufacture other robots. I've synced the animation to the audio track that I've used behind it in order to convey a certain intelligence for the robots which their motions create music.

This is a work in progress and I hope to have the finished piece ready soon. An intro, colour, an enhanced audio track and futher additional motion graphics to come!

  • HP D&AD student awards (Awarded Best of Year)
Voted Best of Year in the 2012 D&AD student awards, the brief was set by HP to present their workstation in a creative way.

In this piece we used ‘equilateral’ triangular spaces to outline individuals independent/ personal creative work stations. The triangles themselves being a metaphor of what computers are to us and our relationship with them creatively. Within creative roles computers can be viewed to break physical communication barriers, allowing users from around the world to comunicate and collaborate on mass creative projects. The Origami shape outlines this, symbolising a mass creative project with several participates.

To create the project I collaborated with Chris Brown and John St Leger.
